Another chance to try things differently.

ReStart Path builds tools that help people facing homelessness find safety, support and a way forward. ReStart is our first; a free, simple navigator for Wandsworth, London. No sign-up, no data stored.

Support exists. Finding it is the hard part.

Services for people facing homelessness are run by different organisations, listed on different websites, with different eligibility rules and referral routes. A person in crisis cannot assemble that information on their own.

The gap is not a shortage of services. It is a shortage of navigation.

ReStart Path starts with Wandsworth and builds borough by borough; bringing everything together in one place, organised by urgency.

ReStart gives people a place to start.

Asks about the situation, not the identity.

Five plain questions; no account, no name, no sign-up.

Returns clear next steps, in order.

Tonight first; then this week; then ongoing support. Every contact real and verified.

Leaves something in hand.

A plain summary the person can text to themselves, print or save; so it survives losing a phone or belongings.

We work the front of the journey.

ReStart Path is an early-stage pipeline. We help people at the most chaotic point of homelessness reach a more stable position; then we connect them to deeper services, including Beam, Crisis, Shelter and the council's own casework teams, for the longer work of securing housing and stability.

We own one job: getting someone from not knowing where to turn, to being connected to the right next service. We do not try to be the whole journey.

The precedent

Ask Izzy launched in Australia in 2016; a zero-registration, mobile-first homelessness navigation tool. It now processes hundreds of thousands of queries annually. ReStart Path is building the equivalent for London, starting with Wandsworth.

Signposting and navigation for people experiencing homelessness is a recognised, fundable, deliverable charitable model. It works.

Where we are.

  1. ReStart built.

The Wandsworth navigator is complete and awaiting final resource verification before launch.

  2. Strategy settled.

Legal structure, scope, launch borough and the handover model are all decided and documented.

  3. CIO registration in progress.

Trustees being recruited; application being prepared.

  4. Launch.

ReStart goes live once the resource list has been verified by our Wandsworth council contact.

Keep up with what we are building.
